There is a deep longing within every heart to be seen, valued, and loved. It is not something we learn—it is something we are created with. God designed us for connection, for relationship, and for a sense of purpose that goes beyond ourselves.
Yet when we try to meet these needs through people, achievements, or approval alone, we often come up empty. Human love, while meaningful, is limited. Only God’s love fully satisfies the soul. “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God” (1 John 3:1, BSB). In Him, we are fully known and completely accepted.
When you understand that you are loved by God, everything begins to change. You no longer have to strive to prove your worth or chase significance. You already matter because you belong to Him. And from that place of security, you are free to love others selflessly and sincerely.
Today, rest in the truth that you are deeply loved and your life has purpose. Let that assurance shape how you see yourself and how you treat those around you.
Prayer for today: Father, thank You for loving me completely and giving my life meaning. Help me to rest in Your love and reflect it to others today.
