Great Journeys Start This Way

Apr 21, 2026 | Faith | Psalm 119:105

Growth in God’s kingdom rarely happens all at once. More often, He leads us forward in steady, quiet ways that require trust for the next step, not the full map. We may want instant answers, immediate change, or a quick breakthrough, but the Lord often shapes our faith through daily obedience. One step of surrender, one step of courage, one step of faithfulness at a time.

Scripture says, “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105, BSB). Notice that God’s Word is described as a lamp, not a floodlight. He often gives enough light for the step in front of us, while asking us to trust Him with what lies beyond. That can feel slow, but it is never wasted. Every step taken with Him builds character, deepens dependence, and strengthens endurance.

If you feel discouraged because progress seems small, remember that small steps still move you forward. God is not absent in the ordinary process. He is present in each act of faith, each prayer whispered, and each choice to keep going. Stay faithful today. The Lord who leads you step by step is also the One who will bring you safely forward.

Prayer: Father, help me trust You for the next step, even when I cannot see the whole path. Give me faith to walk with You patiently and faithfully today.
