Leadership: It’s More Than a Job Title

Feb 7, 2026 |

Leadership is often misunderstood as a title or position, but true leadership flows from influence. The quote, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader,” reminds us that leadership begins with how we live, not what we are called. As believers, our greatest example is Jesus, whose life consistently pointed others toward purpose, growth, and transformation.

Scripture tells us, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16, BSB). Every day, God places us in situations where our words, attitudes, and actions can either discourage or inspire. When we walk in humility, obedience, and love, we create space for others to see God at work through us.

You may not see yourself as a leader, but if you encourage a coworker, guide your family with wisdom, or remain faithful during trials, you are influencing lives. God uses ordinary faithfulness to produce extraordinary impact. Leadership rooted in Christ is not about control, but about service, example, and pointing others to Him.

Prayer for today:
Lord, help me lead with integrity and love, reflecting Christ in all I do. Use my life to inspire others to grow closer to You. Amen.
