Some Treasures Are Untouchable

Mar 19, 2026 | Spiritual Growth | Psalm 119:11

When God’s Word is hidden in your heart, it becomes a treasure no circumstance can steal. Jobs may change, health may falter, and seasons may shift—but Scripture stored within you remains steady and unshaken. That is why the psalmist declared, “I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You” (Psalm 119:11 BSB).

Memorized Scripture is more than mental exercise. It is spiritual strength. In moments of temptation, the Holy Spirit brings truth to mind. In seasons of fear, His promises rise up and steady the soul. When grief clouds your thoughts, a familiar verse can break through like light at dawn.

God’s Word is living and active (Hebrews 4:12). When you carry it within you, you carry divine encouragement wherever you go. No one can confiscate it. No hardship can erase it. It becomes a well you can draw from at any time—at work, in your home, in the quiet of the night.

Make it your practice to learn and treasure Scripture. Write it, speak it, pray it. Over time, those sacred words will shape your thoughts, guide your decisions, and anchor your faith.

Lord, plant Your Word deeply in my heart today. Bring it to mind when I need strength, wisdom, and hope.
