The message of the cross and the empty tomb reveals the depth of God’s love for humanity. On Good Friday, it seemed as though darkness had won. Jesus suffered and died on the cross, and His followers were left in grief and confusion. Yet what appeared to be the end was actually the beginning of God’s greatest victory.
God’s love did not stop at the cross. Three days later, the resurrection of Jesus proved that death does not have the final word. The power of God’s love overcame sin, sorrow, and the grave itself. Through Christ’s sacrifice and resurrection, a path was opened for every person to return to God and experience new life.
Scripture reminds us of this incredible hope: “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep” (1 Corinthians 15:20, BSB). Because Jesus lives, believers can face life’s challenges with confidence, knowing that God’s love is stronger than any loss, fear, or hardship.
The story of Easter reminds us that God’s love always leads toward redemption. Even in moments that seem hopeless, His plan is still unfolding. Through Christ, the path that leads from God to humanity also leads humanity back to God.
Prayer for today:
Lord, thank You for the victory of the cross and the hope of the resurrection. Help me live each day in the confidence that Your love is stronger than death. Amen.
