It is easy to assume that if something feels good or looks right, it must be God’s will. Yet Scripture reminds us that our understanding is limited, while God sees the full picture. What appears good in the moment may not align with His greater purpose, but what He wills is always rooted in His perfect love and wisdom.
Proverbs 3:5–6 (BSB) encourages us, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Trust requires surrendering our definition of “good” and allowing God to shape our desires according to His truth.
There are times when God says no to something we deeply want, and it can feel confusing or even painful. Yet His “no” is never without purpose. He is protecting, preparing, and guiding us toward something better—something eternal. His will is not only good in outcome, but good in every step, even when we do not immediately see it.
Today, choose to trust that God’s will is greater than your expectations. Rest in the assurance that He is working for your good in every circumstance.
Prayer: Lord, help me trust Your will above my own desires. Give me faith to believe that what You choose is always good and always right.
