Life can quickly become filled with responsibilities, deadlines, and endless to-do lists. It is easy to believe that staying busy means being productive and purposeful. Yet in the midst of all the activity, one of the most important priorities can quietly slip away—time with God.
Scripture calls us to a different rhythm: “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17, BSB). Prayer is not meant to be an afterthought squeezed into a crowded schedule; it is the foundation that gives meaning and direction to everything else we do. When we neglect prayer, we begin to rely on our own strength instead of God’s wisdom and guidance.
Busyness can create the illusion of importance, but it often leads to spiritual dryness and fatigue. God never intended for us to carry life’s burdens alone. Through prayer, we exchange our stress for His peace, our confusion for His clarity, and our weakness for His strength.
Taking time to pray is not falling behind—it is aligning our hearts with what matters most. When we make space for God, everything else finds its proper place.
Prayer:
Lord, help me to prioritize time with You above all else. Teach me to slow down and seek Your presence in every part of my day.
