Surrender is not weakness; it is an act of trust. When we release our grip on control and place our lives fully in God’s hands, we make room for His power to move. So often, we strive, worry, and try to force outcomes, yet God invites us into a different posture—one of faith-filled dependence.
Scripture reminds us, “Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will do it” (Psalm 37:5, BSB). This promise does not mean life becomes effortless, but it does mean we are no longer carrying the weight alone. God works in ways we cannot see, aligning circumstances, shaping hearts, and guiding our steps according to His perfect will.
Surrender requires humility. It means laying down our plans, fears, and expectations, trusting that God’s ways are higher and His timing is better. In that place of surrender, peace replaces anxiety, and hope begins to grow. What we could never accomplish in our own strength, God faithfully brings to life.
Today, consider what you may be holding too tightly. Give it to Him. Trust that as you surrender, He is already at work.
Prayer: Lord, I surrender my plans and worries to You today. Help me trust Your timing and believe that You are working all things for good.
