Right Thing. Wrong Time. Big Lesson.

Feb 15, 2026 | Spiritual Growth

Sometimes the challenge is not choosing between right and wrong, but between good and God’s timing. The quote reminds us of a hard truth: even good desires can become missteps when pursued outside the season God has ordained. Scripture affirms this wisdom: “To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1, BSB).

We often rush forward because an opportunity looks right, feels right, or promises growth. Yet God is not only concerned with what we do, but when and how we do it. Waiting can feel like wasted time, but in God’s economy, waiting is often where He prepares our hearts, aligns our motives, and builds our trust. Acting too soon can close doors God intends to open later, or burden us with responsibilities we are not yet ready to carry.

Choosing patience is an act of faith. It says we trust God’s wisdom more than our urgency. When we surrender our timelines to Him, we learn discernment, humility, and peace. The right thing at the right time brings fruit, clarity, and lasting growth.

Prayer:
Father, help me trust Your timing even when I want to rush ahead. Give me discernment to wait on You and faith to believe that Your plans are always best. Amen.
